The virtue of teaching the Quran A number of hadiths have been narrated about. The virtue of learning the Quran and the virtue of assembling it for teaching and learning. It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurayrah that. And the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them in the company of the angels who are with Allah.
Four things are stated in this hadith: Learning The Quran
- Peace be upon them.
- Mercy covers them.
- The angels surround them.
- Allah Almighty mentions them in the assembly of angels who are with Him.
Who among us does not desire any of the above. How strange that all these virtues come together in one act. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that learning the Quran is mustahab. And in the narration of Hazrat Aqeba ibn Aamir, there is encouragement for it.
He says: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
Came out of the house one day and a group of our companions were on the platform of Safa. He said: Which of you likes to go to the market of Bathan or Agate. In the morning and bring two fat fresh camels? And bring it in such a way that it does not involve any sin. And does not show any kind of cruelty.
We said: O Messenger of Allah!
We like it He said: When one of you enters the mosque in the morning and recites two verses of the Quran or acquires knowledge of them. It is better for him than two camels, and three verses three camels and four verses four. Better a poor horse than no horse at all. ”
The most comprehensive
hadith concerning the teaching of the Holy Quran is that of Hazrat Uthman that. The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) said: The best of you are those who learn and teach the Quran. The words of another narration are: The best of you are those who learn and teach the Quran.
It is noted that this virtue or honor is not for those. Who learn words and letters without their meanings and limits as some people think. Acquiring knowledge of the Arabs, its interpretation, its rules and their wisdom and also its halal and haraam.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Abdul Rahman Al-Salami that he said:
“We have been told by those who used to recite the Quran to us. That they used to recite the Quran from the Messenger of Allah. So when they had learned the ten verses. They would not go beyond that until they put them into practice. So they learned both the Quran and its practice at the same time. ”
As far as the teaching of this Quran is concerned. There is no doubt that it is one of the best and closest deeds to Allah. When Hazrat Sufyan Sauri was asked about Jihad and teaching of Holy Quran. He considered it better to teach Holy Quran and narrated the hadith of Hazrat Uthman in argument.
It should be noted that this virtue is only for those who have acquired the knowledge and practice of the Quran together. That is why Ibn Hajar said: “There is no doubt that learning and teaching the Quran completes one’s self and the essence of others Has been declared. “
Imam Ibn Katheer said:
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Has said that the best of you are those who learn and teach the Quran. And the benefit found in this process is necessary and contagious. On the contrary, the case of the rebellious disbelievers is that they do not benefit themselves and do not allow anyone to benefit them to the best of their ability.
As Allah Almighty has said, If they deviate from the path of Allah, we will increase them in torment after torment. Similarly, in another place, the Almighty says that those disbelievers prevent others from this Quran as well.
And they themselves stop it. According to the most correct statement of the commentators, this verse means to refrain from following the Quran and forbid it. Therefore, these disbelievers, in addition to denying, have also included in their disbelief the non-observance of the Quran, as
Allah has said,
“Who is more unjust than he who denies the verses of Allah and turns away from them?” So this is the case of the wicked infidels, whereas the case of the chosen servants of Allah, on the contrary, is that they should try to complete other than their own caste.
As Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The best (complete) of you are those who learn and teach the Quran. And as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): And who is better than he who calls people to Allah and does good deeds and says:
I am of the Muslims? Therefore, inviting people to Allah, whether in the form of Adhan or any other form, is included in it, for example, when teaching the Quran, Hadith and Fiqh, etc. For the pleasure of Allah, it is also in the case of Da’wah to Allah. Is a case of With him, even if he does good deeds or some say that his words are good, then no one can be better than him.
Learning The Quran In Childhood
It is also clear that the best of the stages of education is childhood education because one is brought up according to what is learned in it. Imam Suyuti said: “Teaching children the Quran is one of the principles of Islam because children are brought up on sound nature.
Therefore, it is important for young boys and girls to be taught the Quran from an early age so that they have a firm belief that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala is their Lord and the Quran is His word. And it is also necessary because it will inculcate the love of Quran in their hearts and their minds, thoughts, abilities and senses will be enlightened by its light.
In this way we will learn Quranic beliefs in our childhood and we will be brought up in the light of Quranic ethics. We will obey his orders and refrain from following him. And it is also important because the memory of childhood is strong and is remembered for a long time and penetrates into the heart and its effect on the self is very great. ”
